Boys Need Adventure

... a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” - God, Luke 3:22

Yesterday I went on an adventure with a really cool dude! We went to Leckhampton Hill and walked right to the top. We got ourselves lost in the 'forest'. Went to the swing and climbed some rocks. We also stopped and to eat some junk food overlooking Cheltenham. We had a blast!

Daniel is 6 now and even though he has my nature (a peaceful and laid back attitude) he does appreciate a good adventure. That's actually an understatement: He absolutely loves it!

To all dads out there. Here is a huge tip:

Take your son out on an adventure.

Boys need adventure and no it is not too late. Teach him something, impart some wisdom. Impart something good. If you don't someone else will and that isn't always a good thing. Come to our men's meeting to learn a few things that will most definitely build your family and take the boy out on an adventure.

Men we’ve got to take our role as a father seriously. Never underestimate the power and the significance of a Father‘s impact on a child. We’ve got only one shot at this, we’re not going to live forever. Take your son out on an adventure!

Kill the giant
England has been labelled the ‘Fatherless Generation’. Not in my watch! I will do whatever I can to influence the men in my world in order to revert this process. Why not join us at D7 Men? We could do this together! The more we’ve become used to seeking life apart from God, the more “abnormal and stressful” it seems to look for God directly. We all have father’s issue.  God is a great example of a father that’s why we need to walk close to him.
The role of a father
What is the role of a father you might ask? Here is your role: To reflect God’s love to your children. You might be the closest thing to God they will ever know.

So what's stopping you, take the boy out on an adventure!
